A residential development of 250 dwellings
We were commissioned to prepare a Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Management Strategy for the above site for a planning application for 250 residential dwellings. It became apparent that the adjacent watercourse posed a flood risk and as a result we modelled the watercourse to make sure the dwellings we cited appropriately and that the development proposals did not increase flood risk to others. A Sustainable Drainage System (SUDS) was designed with onsite attenuation to greenfield rates and a balancing pond being proposed. The development obtained planning approval and is currently being constructed.
